# Run history

> View and analyze the execution history of all pipeline runs.

**Run history** is the operational ledger of pipeline execution: every attempt, its outcome, timing, and volume metrics. You use it to verify SLAs, compare regressions after deploys, and answer “did last night’s load finish?” without opening the warehouse.

## Run list

The default **run list** shows recent executions across pipelines you can access. Columns typically include:

* **Pipeline** name and environment (for example draft vs production)
* **Trigger** (schedule, manual, API, webhook, upstream chain)
* **Start** and **end** timestamps in your preferred time zone
* **Status** and high-level **error** classification when failed
* **Duration** and **row counts** where the engine reported them

### Filtering

Narrow the list before exporting or paging through thousands of rows:

* **Time range** presets (last hour, last day, custom)
* **Status** (success, failed, canceled, running)
* **Pipeline** or **tag** / **project**
* **Triggered by** (user, service account, schedule id)

## Status codes

Statuses summarize the scheduler and engine outcome:

| Status   | Meaning                                           |
| -------- | ------------------------------------------------- |
| Running  | Work is still executing or waiting on resources   |
| Success  | Completed without engine-reported failure         |
| Failed   | Terminated with an error surfaced to Planasonix   |
| Canceled | Stopped by user, policy, or superseding run       |
| Skipped  | Not started due to concurrency or schedule policy |

  **Success** means the platform recorded completion. Always validate **business rules** (for example row count thresholds) using quality checks inside the pipeline or external monitors.

## Duration

**Duration** measures wall-clock time from dispatch to terminal state. Compare durations across:

* **Warehouse** slot contention
* **Source** API rate limits
* **Data volume** growth week over week

Spikes often correlate with **cluster autoscaling** cold starts or **full scans** after schema changes.

## Row counts

When connectors expose them, runs display **rows read**, **rows written**, or **bytes** moved. Use these fields to:

* Detect **silent partial loads** when status is success but counts diverge from baseline
* Size **incremental** windows and **backfills**

## Individual run details

Open a run to see:

* **DAG** or **node graph** with per-node status
* **Parameters** and **variables** resolved for that execution
* **Retry** attempts and which node failed first
* **Lineage** links to downstream triggers when chaining is enabled

### Node-level logs

Select a node to read **structured logs**: SQL text (when permitted), connector messages, and engine warnings. Download logs for **support** tickets; redaction rules apply to secrets.
